MSNBC Libtalker: I Could EASILY Out-Draw Glenn Beck!

GREEN WITH ED-VY

Libtalker Burning Up Over Rally Turnout Figure

In the insecure world of show business, there's nothing worse than the feeling of being upstaged. That's why for libtalker Ed Schultz, the thought of a cable rival pulling off a wildly successful event such as Glenn Beck's Restoring Honor rally is painful to endure.

Of course, ideological politics are heavily at play here as well, that's why Schultz sees a role for his pinky ring-wearing thug pals: with union help, we could EASILY top Beck's turnout!

Sure, Ed, give it your best shot!

We promise we won't complain about your date selection or lack of inflammatory rhetoric should you choose to take the high road.

Here's what he told radio listeners (if clip is not available, it will be shortly):

SCHULTZ (07:00): Hold it right there! Before we get to her answer, I could get every union head in this country, I could organize every progressive group in this country, the main bloggers. This could be The Ed March. Folks, 300,000 people on the heels of six months' promotion, that ain't no big shakes!

Six months' promotion, NBC News says 300,000 people. I bet I could do that! I bet I could do that with this radio show and my TV show and six months' production, six months' promotion, if I had the budget I could equal that march. I know I could!

I guarantee you, I could do more than 300,000! It ain't a big deal!

We can't wait to see what you can accomplish, Big Eddie. Get to work.

  • Ed's too much of a coward to really go through with it. He's all talk.

  • 300,000 for a rally? For this tool? I'd be surprised if he does that much better in viewership.

  • Union heads could probably bust enough heads to "organize" a larger turnout. With some telephone campaigns, call in some political favors, a little walking around money. It would be just like an election. But be careful who counts... Rev Sharp-Dressed-Man told O'Reilly he had 30,000 at the high school, but it was widely reported as 3,000. What a difference a zero makes.

I'd go see him if he reenacted his MSNBC temper tantrum on stage.

Don’t forget the $5.5 million for your targeted charity.
    Beck had SOWF

Hey Olbermann has that “free health clinics” thing, you could use that as your cause!

    Raise $5.500000.10 million to win!

Heck, even if you don’t get the $5.500000.10 million for the “free health clinics”, you will get something!

$4,999999.99 is a good day for the “free health clinics”!

  • One word....LOSER

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 31 August, 2010 21:00

  • Schultz has the worst Napoleon complex outside of that jackass Olbermann. Didn't Schultz just get chewed out by his top brass at MSNBC for railing on his staff because he got passed over for some big event? What a Liberal dooshtrumpet.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 31 August, 2010 21:01

  • The only way Ed Schultz could draw more people than Glenn Beck is if he announced to the world he was going to take a loaded 357 Magnum pistol to the Lincoln Memorial and point it at his head with one bullet in the chamber in a classic Russian Roulette gamble and a one in six chance of blowing his brains out. That's the only way in my opinion.

By Anonymous ConnMan, at 31 August, 2010 21:14

  • But Ed, you're right 'if you had the budget' because most of you're progressives and protesters (especially union members) are paid to come to their events, parties and protests. That would be very expensive. NO one was paid to come on 8-28, they came because they cared.

By Blogger Unknown, at 31 August, 2010 22:44

  • Yeah! Go for it! Waste the unions' money on proving that he really is as big as his ego!

SEIU and MoveOn.org will be happy to pay for the Million Unemployed March to blame the GOP for everything, and whatever they have left can go toward the losing efforts of Congressional Democrats, showing that they manage their own affairs as well as Obama has managed the economy.

    Say goodnight, Gracie.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 31 August, 2010 22:47

  • you can go to the moon too, while you're at it.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 00:30

  • He may be right - for some reason, liberals love the insufferable, illogical, wordsmith. Maybe they'd come out in droves to see Ed. Oh wait, he had his chance on Air America, didn't he. Doesn't Beck have several million listeners to his show on the radio and more than a few for this TV show? Based on the overwhelming success of Air American, I doubt that 300k people have ever heard of this hemorrhoid.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 00:35

  • Beck envy ... ya just gotta love it. It's pretty obvious much of the rest of your "world" really believes the same drivel as you. But please, keep it up ... you're just making it better and easier for that previously silent majority out here to carry the day come November and beyond ... oh if I (and the REST) can only hold our breaths that long ... !!!

  • He's right!!! Even more, with a few days promotion he can make an event and have MSNBC say that there were 300,000 people there.

As long as he calls it a Liberal rally, why not jump it to 1000,000 people. NBC I'm sure loves the idea.

By Blogger Benny, at 01 September, 2010 00:56

  • WTF?
He could not even get the 40 people that believe in his ill-informed, bizarre, psychotic rants show up for free pills and booze. Much less a patriotic rally for America.

By Anonymous pat, at 01 September, 2010 01:10

  • Ed Schultz couldn't get 300K people to a publicly-recorded colonoscopy. Oh, wait... Couric already did that. No matter, neither could draw a crowd to a bake sale in Ethiopia.

  • This union thug freaked out on his TV set on August 12th when he found out that he wouldn't be included in the pre-election run-up ad campaign viewerless Mess-NBC pr and marketing types were doing a slo-mo pantomime [as mentioned, PMSNBC has few viewers & budgets are scrimpy under the new Comcast regime.

Screaming he was going to "torch" Mess-NBC when he discovered he was on the cutting room floor before a frame was shot, the blubbering fool was hauled in to the Mess-NBC brass, where he whined and wept and promised to be a good union thug from now on.

When CNN get Kathleen Parker on versus this fool, he'll go back to weaing his John Wayne Gacy look-alike clown-suit outfit and hit on young boys.....!

By Blogger dave in boca, at 01 September, 2010 03:35

  • he needs 6 months promotion, every progressive group in the country, bloggers and all the union heads to help him? well, sure, I suppose forcing people to attend might work...

what a joke! Ed is so unhinged.

All Beck did was tell people about it, and they showed up.

By Blogger sarainitaly, at 01 September, 2010 05:56

  • The only thing Schultz draws is blow flies.

By Blogger Warren, at 01 September, 2010 06:19

  • Then why doesn't he? I looked up his radio show ratings and compared them to Beck's.

    Beck - 27%

    Schultz - .33% less than 1%

    Pathetic

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 06:54

  • I think it helps a lot in organizing a march if you don't have a face for radio.

And wouldn't all that oily goop on his head catch aflame if he went out in the sun?

By Blogger Unknown, at 01 September, 2010 07:29

  • Oh Ed, your envy is palpable. "The Ed March?' Yeah, it would be so impressive to get out all the pay-to-march, the union thugs, the real ASTROTURF to come support "The Ed March". The people who don't know how to spell " the American Dream" (ref. SEIU sign at a recent union march) coz they haven't got a clue what it is. Neither have you, Ed. Wow. Your so big, Ed. A really big TWIT is what you are.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 07:36

  • Uhhhhhhh, wasn't Ed a speaker at 'Revererend' Sharpton's pitiful rally last weekend. Guess Ed meant to say he could draw 3,000 people

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 07:38

  • Then do it you turd.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 07:39

  • Ed Shultz couldn't draw 300,000 people on a piece of paper.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 07:51

  • Hey Ed, your on!!! ... Dare you to schedule a rally in Washington and let's see if you can draw, from the 50 states anywhere near 300,000 (actual number was 750,000+) ~ Look at this Ed, Rev Al Sharpton (who is better known than you) could only pull less than 50,000 of the very people the rally was about.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 07:59

  • I doubt that Ed could draw flies.

By Blogger Uncle Reggie, at 01 September, 2010 08:16

  • Har har har. That bloated gasbag can't get but twice that number to dial in his nightly hour of hate on TV. If he figures that half of those nuts would/could manage to un-a** their sagged-out couches and actually travel even ten miles to hear him bellow the same old reptitive hate speech in person, he's crazier than they are.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 09:10

  • That means this worthless bully would have to draw every person that's ever watched his show. I doubt it, Ed!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 10:24

  • Ed can't even attract a fraction of the view and listener audience of Beck. So it is beyond laughable to think this guy could even come close to matching Beck's rally numbers.

By Blogger Alpha Conservative Male, at 01 September, 2010 10:43

  • What an astoundingly pathetic idiot, this man is apparently so delusional that he is incapable of embarrassment. His vacuous utterances are reminiscent of Colonel Gaddafi’s in the seventies or today’s boisterous pissant Ahmadinejad. MSNBC obviously has no shame as they circle the drain after the flush.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 10:52

  • You're right, large mouth. Anyone could muster up 300,000, but that's only half of the number who were at the Glenn Beck promotion. Your first mistake is that you can't count.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 11:17

  • this guy needs some serious help

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 11:33

  • The only way you could out-draw Glenn Beck is with your crayon.

By Blogger Unknown, at 01 September, 2010 11:35

  • What big-mouth Schultz doesn't understand is that Glenn Beck was not into a "crowd-drawing" contest. I heard him say, numerous times, that he had no idea how many people would come on August 28. So, Ed, call out your unions and draw 1 Million people. Will that win you the jackpot?

Try drawing that number with the simple theme and message "Restoring Honor"

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 11:40

  • well, whether he could or not is immaterial, i'm fairly certain he wouldn't lie like beck...
http://motherjones.com/politics/2010/08/glenn-beck-george-washington-restoring-honor. doubt will see this reported on the "fair & balanced" site or network, just wanted to make sure all you lemmings who only pay attention to faux news get the whole story.

By Blogger Unknown, at 01 September, 2010 13:19

  • Ed who?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 13:19

  • Just who is this Bozo making this claim? Does he have some TV show or radio show for which he is trying to get attention? I know it can't be that he claims he has some audience draw that is larger than Glenn Beck. The top three hosts on Fox, O'Rielly, Beck and Smith draw more of an audience than all the MCNBC shows put together and I've never heard of this loud mouth clown. The only unions that would support his attempt would be SEIU and we know what they are. One would have to be so far removed from reality in nhe needed to require their help.
I'm sorry, giving this clown a stage would only encourgae his over blwon ego more that it already is.
First get a show with some integrity whcih is beyond the scope of MSNBC. Then speak as if you are talking to Americans, not some liberal based Progressive group that wants nothing more that the ruination of the country. Then you might get a couple more people to listen to you than those poor folks that have to be in your studio every day only because they need the job.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 13:23

  • Ed Schultz is a phoney. Back in North Dakota where fat Eddy got his start, he was a right wing republican. Then Mr. Ed got smart. He did a 180 and instantly became a way out there left wing Democrate. I think it was about the time he was running around with a doctors wife. Yes Mr. Perfect was cheating with a married woman. But back to the real Ed Schultz. If you don't believe me go back to Fargo, N.D. and ask around. The guy is a fraud.

You are FOOL if you think anything about your "message could draw Glenn's size of crown. Your Rhetoric is akin the the "little man" syndrome. Give it a go Big Ed....I would LOVE to see your face buried DEEPLY in a pie of CROW! Please, MAKE MY DAY! Name the time! Name the place! and then....see if you can even spot the "high road" w/high powered binoculars! Fun times, fun times.

By Blogger Lucretia Lake, at 01 September, 2010 14:04

By Blogger peteguer, at 01 September, 2010 14:13

  • Then he should do it, instead of talk about it. I'm absolutely positive that his rally will be a 100% turn around from the Beck rally because Mr. Ed doesn't have a humble bone in his sad little fat self. He should get into the back of the bus.

By Blogger denise, at 01 September, 2010 16:04

  • Ed. I'll take some of that bet. Truth be told.. YOU could not draw flies at a dog park.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 16:15

  • Ed, the talking horse.
SO, ED, if you're so damn great...if you could do better than Beck...why don't you do that ED?
"If I had the budget"...you know why you DON'T have the budget, Ed? Because NO ONE LISTENS TO YOUR STUPID SHOWS!!! :)

So, no, Ed, you'd fall on your fat face. But you go ahead and try, bubba.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 16:44

  • Ed who?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 17:36

  • "Big Eddie" couldn't draw five angry seniors to a afternoon bingo game unless he promised to perform one of his rants and let them bet on how long it would take him to start foaming at the mouth.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 18:07

  • Ed's statement of "I could do that" reminded me of a poignant quote that goes to human vanity and ego...and delusion. it reads, "We tend to judge ourselves on what we think we could do. Others judge us on what we've already done." See, everyone is great IN OUR OWN MIND. If we think it, in our mind we've already done it. But no one else knows it because it hasn't actually happened. Nice try, Ed.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 01 September, 2010 18:08

  • So, did Ed just inadvertently confirm the attendance number at Beck's rally?

By Blogger Unknown, at 01 September, 2010 20:24

  • Hey Ed, I would love to see you try to top Beck. But I won't even dare you to try, however, I am here to help. You are a man of the people, North Dakota was where you got your start, eastern NoDak in particular, so here goes...set up a big rally in Fargo at the Fargodome or in Grand Forks at the Alerus Center for some sort of military charity, since that is a big military area. I'm not asking you to top the 8/28 rally in terms of attnedence because you can't.

...I might give you some credit. My guess is that maybe many of the people who would come out for you might be there to chase you out of town with torches & pitchforks. Give it a whirl big boy(& I know you read your own press), see what happens.

  • Holy crap, Ed! Really? You'd have to bust out the unions to get that big a following? And you think that shows your popularity?

Feeling sorry for you, Little Man. Very sorry for you....

Oh, and maybe you should listen to what was said at the rally? Just a suggestion - because there wasn't any political tone to it. The only ones busting any chops about a political aspect to this whole thing are the left-leaners. And that's only because they are so scared they are leaving brown stains in their little boy/girl panties!!

  • I hope ol' Ed will read this. I am a 65yo heart patient from the great Lone Star state and I challenge ol' Ed to see who can draw a bigger crowd. Me or him. 'course I know that he don't know which end spews out the most crap. Come on down to Odessa, Tex. and start floppin' your lips in person instead of holed up in a safe little room REAL Americans can't get to. I would love to see him try his barn yard tactics and hen house ways here. Come on down Ed! You know what I like about TV is at least I can cut ol' Ed off when I want to.

  • Dear Ed: The people who came to see and hear Glenn Beck have "passion" for their beliefs. You, my friend, would need a Stimulus Package to attract that many people.
