Randi Rhodes: Bush Knew Bin Laden's Location, Protected Him There

ABBOTTA-SAD

Libtalker Pushes 'Bush Knew' Conspiracy Theory

One week after the elimination of Osama bin Laden by American forces, "progressives" have put together a number of kooky, agenda-boosting conspiracy theories.

As extra points are scored for advancing the eternal "blame Bush" effort, libtalker Randi Rhodes may well now lead the pack. In her crazy world, W knew exactly where bin Laden was hiding but allowed him to remain villa-bound in order to appease Pakistan's government.

Luckily, Randi's loaded with "facts" to make her case:

RANDI RHODES (11:03): Listen, for the conspiracy freaks out there, for the Glenn Becks of the world with his blackboard - you want a conspiracy theory? Why don't you try one that's based in somewhat in fact? OK?

You've got some facts you can really play with, go nuts on your blackboard, OK - Rush, you too, sit up and take notice! Here's facts: 2005, no one's left at the Bin Laden desk, they close it.

Two thousand-five is when they start building this compound in Abbottabad for Osama bin Laden. Pervez is scared of a coup d'etat so he won't get - he is the obstacle the CIA keeps identifying over and over again about why won't they get Osama Bin Laden, they he's in Pakistan, everyone knows he's in Pakistan.

Two thousand-eight - Bush makes the decision to send our troops over to Abbottabad to train the guys in the 'West Point' there, 800 yards from Osama Bin Laden's door.

And Christiane Amanpour goes on Bill Maher and says, 'Listen, I heard from people in the know that Osama Bin Laden is living in a villa in Pakistan!" So, if you want a conspiracy theory, it's gonna to lead you right back to the Bush Administration KNOWING where Osama Bin Laden was, that he was in Pakistan, the whole - ever since he fled Tora Bora, that he knew the whole time, which is why the President said...

[Bush audio clip airs] -

RHODES: Because he knew where he was! He was with the Pakistani military and they were guarding him, they were keeping him safe, they were protecting him, and the United States of America had reached an agreement that they needed a bogeyman, so what the hell, let the Pakistanis keep him, let the Pakistanis have him, keep him in this military garrison town, we'll even send our troops over there to pretend that, you know, uh, we had no idea! -

Yes, it makes perfect sense to believe Bush would have happily reserved the glory of Osama's capture for the next president to enjoy!

  • Yes, that makes perfect sense - only to leftwing brain dead truthers. Rhodes even admitted it was a conspiracy theory, but she'd twist the truth as she usually does to demonize Bush. Bush wanted to save the capture of UBL for the next President - yeah right.

The liberal progressives continue to be blinded by their hatred for Bush. Common sense is minimized by the left, because it requires too much thinking.

  • So president Bush is supposed to have ignored the very reason why we are there to help the Pakistani government so they can help us fight terrorists like osama. Yea right. The left also likes to call president Bush a cowboy and claim he's out to do all this killing etc. So we are to believe that president Bush would have left the juiciest target of the entire planet alone but be a war mongering cowboy at the same time. Yea right, again. The problem with conspiracy theories is that if you don't think them through they are easily broken down and the supporters of said theories are exposed for the idiots they are. In this case this one was broken down so fast and easy its amazing ms rhodes is allowed on the air.

  • It must suck to be a republican right now . . .

  • Isn't Randi Rhodes an alcoholic? I am supposed to give weight to the rants of an alcoholic?

  • It must suck to be Isiah anytime.

  • I thought, according to news reports, that 2005 was when the CIA cleaned house and reformed its bin Laden unit, and also started sending a lot more agents to Pakistan and recruiting a lot more informants there.

Not exactly, uh, leaving the office empty.

But Rhodes is just caught up in emotion which makes her dumber than usual.

  • Gee I was thinking how much it must suck to be a democrat right now. While under his administration using the same policies that Bush put in place, Osama was taken out. And since, Obama has put out 30 different stories as to what happened... each one watering down the result. Obama is just simply unable to tell the truth no matter how good it can be for him. I will be so very happy when this not-so-smart President is gone in 2012.

  • It a proven fact that a democrat's brain is smaller than the average American and it's also a proven fact that their brains work backward. This is proof.

  • "Luckily, Randi's loaded with "facts" to make her case." It's tacky to use the term "loaded" when referring to Brandy Rhodes.

  • Bush Derangment Syndrome

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 09 May, 2011 12:05

  • Bush would have given the kill order given actionable intelligence. Period.

Unlike when Clinton knew where Bin Laden was in the 90's and didn't issue the kill order; why is he left totally off the hook? The Twin Towers had already been attacked once, it was just a practice run for 9/11.

He also had Somali War Lord General Mohamed Farrah Aidid, literally in the cross hairs before "Black Hawk Down". Clinton gave the orders to stand down. Costing even more American lives.

  • Rhoades is just a drunk.

  • Bush could have caught Osama early in the Afghan war at Tora Bora. But then he couldn't have invaded IRAQ and kept two wars going for his defense contractor friends. Bush gave up looking for Osama. WHY did he do that????

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 09 May, 2011 15:17

  • apparently, you only post right wing looney posts. Typical, when you don't have the facts on your side, repress the opposite view.. Right wingers are a disgrace to Democracy.

  • Reading the Rhodes commentary, it sure seems to me that she's saying that IF you're the type of nutjob who buys into conspiracy theories, it's way easier to spin one about Bush than about Obama. But nuance is a bit tough for some people.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 09 May, 2011 16:17

  • Reading Rhode's commentary, it sure sounds like she's saying that IF AND ONLY IF you're the sort conspiracy nut that drinks the kind of Koolaid Glenn Beck is offering up, your fevered conspiracy-inclined mind should more easily be able to make a conspiracy out of George Bush's actions than Barack Obama's. But nuance is tough for some people.

  • Osama is dead... and we get 72 versions of what happened. If your wife went out for a night with the gals, and came back with a story that changed several times in a week, what yould you think???

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 10 May, 2011 13:21

  • Randi Rhodes started this silly conspiracy-she ranted on for over 2 hours.
Remember Rhodes was spewing on for years that Bush was behind the anthrax attacks. That he purposely sat in the classroom because he knew another plane was going to hit the 2nd tower. She's just back to her old stupid self.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 10 May, 2011 14:57

  • Her hypocrisy is a hoot. Check out Amazon books-"The Big Encylopedia of Republican Hypocrites." by Randi Rhodes The book was never published because she was a BIGGER hypocrite than the people she wrote about in that book & she knows it! All the lies about her skanky past were starting to surface. Rhodes really believes Bush knew bin Laden's location. She just adds the conspiracy theory to not make herself look like the lying idiot she is.
